  • Provided IT analytics support for Queen's Health Systems (QHS) in identifying operational and financial improvement opportunties to assist clinicians with their daily workflow.
  • Partnered with Health Catalyst in supporting the Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) for QHS and building graphical dashboards/reports utilizing their Business Intelligence (BI) framework (Source Mart, Subject Area Mart and QlikView).
  • Developed custom Subject Area Marts (SAMs) to aggregate data from multiple source marts and track quality metrics for QHS.
  • Created Qlikview dashboards/reports with drill down capabilities to analyze large EHR data sets in a quick and efficient manner Key Process Analyzer, Population Explorer. Sepsis and Asana Explorer.

  • Architected and administered the Healthways Ops Finance HI data warehouse. The date warehouse was built in Oracle where it contained HMSA member related data used for reporting and analytics.
  • Provided analytical reporting and support to Healthways/HMSA senior leadership in regards to preventive care and outreach programs for HMSA members, physician organizations and employer groups.
  • Assisted physician organizations in managing their patients by producing reports that merge Care Gap data from Cozeva with member demographic data (ex. addresses, phone numbers, emails, etc.) stored in the Embrace platform (backend Oracle).
  • Assisted employer groups in managing and tracking Well Being 5 Participations such as Well Being Surveys, Biometrics, Flu Shots, Physician Screening Forms, Step Tracker, Weight Tracker, etc.
  • Developed operational reports in SSRS to assist clinicians in tracking and managing engagement efforts with High Risk members identified by the Healthways Predictive Model.
  • Re-engineered and automated the ETL processes from using MS Access to SSIS. SSIS allows us to import and merge Healthways application data with HMSA member, physician and employer data. The ETL processes run daily/weekly/monthly.

  • Provided analytical tools and support to Hawaii Permanente Medical Group (HPMG) with preventive care and outreach healthcare programs.
  • Development of the Mana ku application. Mana ku was a population care management tool that allowed clinicians to quickly lookup patient charts and review their medical history such as past diagnoses, lab results, immunizations, medications and tests/screenings.
  • Development of HAWD, Primary Care Scorecard and Keiki Scorecard. These reports allowed HPMG leadership the ability to monitor performance of their KP clinics and assess how effectively primary care physicians are meeting their monthly targets/goals in treating adult and pediatric patients.
  • Designed and developed ETL processes to retrieve Electronic Medical Record (EMR) data from HealthConnect (EPIC/Teradata) and KP Membership/Pharmacy data from Oracle. Loaded the data into a data warehouse in SQL Server where the team could produce analytical reports.
  • Developed Ad Hoc queries and reports to analyze patient populations, forecast future treatment efforts and mitigate urgent healthcare issues.
  • Assisted HPMG in their marketing and outreach efforts by developing automated processes to generate their Biography Cards and Birthday Card Mailers.

Commander Navy Installation Commands (CNIC) / Total Workforce Management Services
September 2010 to August 2013
  • Developed analytical tools and reports for the Total Workforce Management Services (TWMS) system. TWMS was a workforce management system that allowed Navy executive leadership the ability to track and manage their on-board, vacant and funded military, civilian, and contractor positions. Coordinated and facilitated meetings with stakeholders to gather requirements and design new capabilities for TWMS.
  • Designed and built Entity-Relationship Diagrams (ERDs) to help identify dependencies and constraints between database tables.
  • Developed custom web applications/reports in TMWS using ASP.Net, C#, AJAX, HTML, Javascript, CSS and SSRS.
  • Developed ETL processes using SSIS to retrieve HR and Financial information from external data sources such as Defense Civilian Personnel Data System (DCPDS) and Standardized Accounting & Reporting System - Field Level (STARS-FL).

  • Developed analytical tools to assist CNRH N5 in gathering, analyzing, and communicating installation support cost and operational data to senior Navy decision-makers.
  • Development of Business Intelligence (BI) tools such as dashboards and scorecards in SSRS which later get hosted in SharePoint.
  • Created SSIS packages to ETL data from external data systems into the local data warehouse.
  • Developed custom database objects such as views, stored procedures and functions to execute data processes and query complex data sets.

  • Provided technical consulting and tools to assist CNRH N6 with operational and workforce management support of their Navy personnel.
  • Developed the Civilian Tuition Assistance Program (CTAP). The CTAP was a .NET web application that allowed users the ability to apply for tuition assistance for courses that applied to their career.
  • Developed the Civilian Leadership Development Program (CLDP). The CLDP was a .NET web application that allowed users to manage their professional development and goals online.
  • Developed the CAC Scanning Training Tracking tool. The tracking tool allowed HR to track employee attendance to onsite training events by scanning the barcode of their CAC cards/badges.
  • Developed custom SharePoint web forms and web parts using ASP.Net, C#, AJAX, HTML and CSS.
  • Developed automated workflow processes using Captaris Workflow to streamline and automate business processes for N6 customers.
  • Established a change control process to manage and baseline developer code and artifacts in N6.

American Airlines

  • Applications developer on the Hewlett Packard/EDS consulting team. Provided development support to American Airlines (AA) in their internal administratrive activities.
  • Developed software applications to support the AA Zero Touch Provisioning (ZTP) project. The ZTP project was a development initiative to automate all internal administrative processes, which included Software Provisioning, User Administration, and Inventory Management.
  • Developed web forms and workflow components to handle the Software Provisioning, Email Exchange, and Active Directory activities. Leveraged technologies such as SharePoint, BizTalk Server 2004, SMS Server, Windows 2003 Server, Web Services, etc.
  • Development of the ZTP Status Request Web Service. The Status Request web service allowed users the ability to check the status of install/uninstall requests stored in a provisioning database. Implemented WSE 2.0 security to authenticate the users talking to the web service and utilized the BizTalk 2004 orchestration to facilitate the data of the request through the pipeline process.

Channel Development Team
January 2004 to May 2005
  • Software Engineer on the Channel Development Team. The Channel Development Team provided tools and support for the Channel Re-Seller Program residing on the Intel E-Business website.
  • Development of the Channel Batch Tool (CBT). The CBT was a .NET web application that allowed users to upload bulk data of user/business information. This data was imported as XML, which later got transformed and inserted into a database. The project piloted an XP software development methodology which included pair programming, iterative and test driven development.
  • Development of the Virtual Account Manager (VAM) Messaging Admin Tool. The VAM Messaging Admin Tool was a .NET web application that allowed users to create promotional messages that get displayed on the public Channel distribution website.
  • Development of the “My Team” section for the Channel Field Intranet (CFI) website. The “My Team” section was a financial report of sales data for each team member under a specified Channel manager. The report listed data by quarterly revenues that could be exported into an Excel format.

Content Management (CM) Team
January 2001 to January 2004
  • Software Engineer on the CM Team. The CM Team internally maintained all the content and metadata provided on the Intel E-Business website.
  • Development of the Link Report Service for the CM System. The Link Report Service was a .NET Web Service, which integrated with a 3rd party software called WatchFire WebXM. The tool would call an API to check for broken links within an HTML document and report the errors back in XML format.
  • Developed the Workflow component for the CM System. Updated and performed code modifications based on business requirements. Worked closely with the Interwoven consultants to optimize the workflow code to be more efficient and scalable in accommodating a large scale of users.
  • Developed the Publishing component for the CM system. The Publishing component was a middle layer that transformed Interwoven proprietary XML into rendered HTML content. Created the XSLTs and deployment scripts to transfer the HTML content to the staging servers. After the content was deployed, metadata information related to the content was published to the Content Delivery team for rendering purposes.

Intel Web Outfitter Service
January 2000 to January 2001
  • Integration Engineer for the Tool Kit Manager (TKM) on the Intel Web Outfitter Service (IWOS) project. The TKM was an Internet software that allowed Pentium III customers the ability to download the latest Internet plug-ins optimized for the Pentium III processor.
  • Performed daily smoke tests and analyses on the daily TKM build releases in the different test environments (Development, Staging, and Production).
  • Integrated and tested plug-ins from 3rd party vendors into the TKM.
  • Interacted and collaborated daily with the different departments within the IWOS project, which included upper management, business analysts, the quality assurance team, IT operations and the development team.
